These Seller Terms apply to any account with an active (or trialing) seller subscription. They supplement the main Terms of Service; where they conflict on seller matters, these Terms govern.
The tiers, prices, and what each includes — the current list always lives on the plan-selection page, and Stripe shows you the exact amount before you confirm:
Buyers pay you directly — and you keep all of it. Nexus does not charge your buyers, does not hold, receive, process, or transfer their money, and does not pay you out. The payment method and terms are between you and each buyer. Nexus takes no commission, percentage, or per-order fee: 100% of the price you agree with your buyer is yours. Your subscription is the only thing you ever pay Nexus.
Nexus records the order (amount, status, acceptance, completion) so both parties have a shared, verifiable history, and shows an “earnings” figure — that figure is your completed work at the agreed amount; it is not money held by, owed by, or paid by Nexus. Historical orders from an earlier version of the platform may show a legacy “platform fee” figure — an old internal reporting notation, never a deduction; new orders have none.
Consequences: you are responsible for invoicing, collecting, and (where applicable) declaring and paying taxes on what you earn. If a buyer disputes non-payment, Nexus mediation uses the order record, but Nexus cannot compel payment from a buyer on your behalf.
Your ability to operate as a seller is determined server-side by two things: your account status (active vs. suspended) and your subscription state (active, trialing, or in grace). When either fails — for example, after a suspension or an expired subscription — the Service blocks new-work operations immediately (creating listings, accepting or declining pending orders, being contacted), regardless of any UI state. Reactivating (restoring the account and/or renewing the subscription) restores those abilities. This enforcement lives in the database and API layer, not in buttons. Verification (credential and portfolio review) is a separate layer on top of standing — see the Verification Policy for what gets reviewed, what the badges mean, and what they do not mean.
For every marketplace transaction, you are the seller of record — the contract for your goods or services is between you and your buyer, and the legal responsibilities that come with being a seller sit with you, not with Nexus:
To keep the marketplace usable and safe, we enforce per-account limits on listing creation, messaging, checkout attempts, and other actions (enforced in the database so they hold across all servers). Creating accounts or using tools to circumvent limits, suspend a seller to re-trial, or manipulate reviews is a terminable offense. We also maintain fraud risk signals (including login and signup data); a high risk score may place your account in review without a full suspension.
We may suspend a seller (blocking new-work operations immediately, server-side) for: policy violations, fraud, unresolved lost disputes with refusal to make buyers whole, unresponsive or abusive conduct, or legal requirements. You will be told the reason where it is lawful to do so.
Suspension removes seller capabilities; your subscription is paused during suspension. A suspension can take effect while you have orders in progress — for example while a report is investigated. Your obligations to those buyers survive the suspension: work already agreed must still be completed or the buyer made whole directly, and the order record remains available for dispute review. Termination removes the account per the main Terms. Refund eligibility after a suspension for cause is limited per the Refund Policy.
Notice, reasons & appeal. Except where the law requires immediate action or the breach is serious or repeated, we give at least 30 days’ advance written notice before terminating a seller account, with the reasons. Every restriction, suspension, or termination comes with a statement of the facts and rules it is based on, and you can appeal it from the suspension page for at least 6 months. Appeals are reviewed by a different person from the original decision-maker.
Billing questions (charges, plan changes, cancellation, refunds) go to billing@nexus-freelancing.com and are handled per the Refund Policy. Disputing a charge directly with your bank (chargeback) may result in account suspension while the bank investigation is open.
