This policy explains the cookies and local storage the Nexus Service uses. We use strictly necessary cookies only — no advertising, no cross-site tracking, no third-party analytics cookies.
1. What We Use
Session cookie (necessary). When you log in, Supabase Auth sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in and lets the server verify who you are on each request. Without it the Service cannot authenticate you. It is set for the current session and cleared when you sign out or your session expires.
Local storage (browser-side, not a cookie). The app keeps small amounts of UI state in your browser’s localStorage — for example your in-app browsing/search history and read-notification state, namespaced per account so it cannot leak between accounts on a shared browser. It never leaves your device, and clearing site data in your browser removes it.
2. What We Do NOT Use
No advertising or retargeting cookies.
No third-party analytics or fingerprinting scripts.
No cross-site tracking of any kind.
3. Third-Party Scripts
Signed-in sellers and buyers interact with Stripe for subscription checkout and the billing portal. Stripe may set its own cookies during those interactions, governed by Stripe’s privacy policy. Map tiles may be loaded from map providers (MapTiler, Mapbox, OpenStreetMap); these are resource requests, not tracking.
4. Managing Cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary session cookie will prevent login and signed-in features from working. Clearing localStorage removes your in-app history and read-state but nothing else.
5. Changes
If our use of cookies changes, this page will be updated with a new “Last updated” date before the change takes effect.
